The Who & Why of
Exercise 2 U

Life as a self-employed personal trainer has been interesting, to say the least. Training clients across the Eastern USA, from Washington, DC, Baltimore, Pittsburgh and now New Castle, PA.

Pretty exhilarating stuff for someone who was once an underweight, uncoordinated child. The gift of a barbell set by my parents in our basement changed all that…

Background In 1996, I became a personal trainer and helped a friend who had started his own personal training business by taking on clients he couldn’t fit into his busy schedule.

In 2000 I moved to Washington DC and entered the world of Corporate Fitness and have been personal training and managing corporate fitness centers full time ever since. Click here to check out my old website W8lifter.com

In 2004, a new position with the company I was working for opened up in the Pittsburgh area. After getting hired for the position, I moved to New Castle! Now I am returning to what I have a real passion for-helping people reach their fitness goals, and sometimes changing their lives in the process.

Training & Certifications I'm proud to say that I'm an National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) Certified Personal Trainer and NSCA member! I have been an ACE Certified Personal Trainer since 1996, and an ACE Certified Lifestyle and Weight Loss Consultant since 2001. I currently hold an American Heart Association CPR/AED Healthcare Provider certification as well.

I attend many seminars, classes and conferences each year in order to stay on top of the latest research and training methods. After running a successful training business in Washington, DC I am now based out of New Castle, PA.

Experience My clients have included bankers, lawyers, concierges, entrepreneurs, politicians, real estate agents, housewives, teachers, students, event promoters, accountants newspaper columnists and magazine writers to name a few!

I enjoy the challenge of creating effective workout routines that fit in with a person's unique lifestyle, schedule, and needs.

The most challenging and rewarding part of my work involves training people with various health problems. I have helped clients with breast cancer, osteoporosis, HIV, heart disease, hypertension, high cholesterol, obesity, diabetes, arthritis, chronic pain, post-rehab, and many other conditions. When possible, I work in conjunction with a client's doctor or physical therapist in setting up safe and effective exercise programs to help improve their quality of life.
